North American Fitness and Health (NAFH)

NAFH was established to benefit all families of all income levels. The organization is a non-profit, 501.c.3 ensuring all children and their families are able to benefit. The goal is to fight juvenile obesity and the myriad diseases that stem from it.

NAFH has designed a unique exercise game that allows the kids to be the active part.  It consists of 12 x 16 inch markers with cartoon graphics and an exercise for the kids to perform at each station. In essence it is a giant board game. Every kid we've talked to gets excited and wants to know when they can play. They’ll love it and stay healthy at the same time. As with standard board games the kids roll the die and go to the station indicated by the number on the die.  They then perform that exercise.

The game was debuted at the Spring Valley Health Fair “It’s How We Live” on April 25, 2015.  Kids visiting the fair were constantly at the game, rolling the die and running around completing the exercises.  Some kids came back to play 4, 5, or 6 times.  They had great fun and enjoyed the exercises.

The kid's exercise game is a modern method that gets and keeps kids interested in exercise play that they want to be involved in. The games also get the children outdoors and off the couch.

A Very Short Overview of American Youth and Adolescent Fitness
The current generation of children may be the first in human history whose average life span may be shorter than their parents.
The newest data show that as much as 2/3 of our children are overweight with 1/3 obese.

Our youth will benefit from the activity. At NAFH we intend to begin reversing the devastating effects of juvenile obesity and the associated diseases.
